Subject: Tool recommendation for injecting morphs into clothes

Does anyone have a recommendation for what tool is easiest to use to inject morphs into clothes? I've been using PhilC's wardrobe wizard for adaptations, but I really want to inject the morphs. The ability of the tool to change clothes between figures isn't all that important -- most of what I want to convert is for either V3 or M3 and just doesn't have any morphs resident at all.

I've looked at the product pages for Clothes Converter, Morph Magic, and The Tailor. I'm primarily concerned with ease of use, and setting up batch conversion.

You may also want to look into Netherworks clothing morph kits. While they don't copy morphs from the figure to the clothing but instead create some standard morphs in the clothing, the created morphs are much cleaner and better than anything the above mentioned programs can do (and fster, too...).

Agree with Dizzi, I use the Netherworks ones and they are terrific!

I can't speak for the others you mention 'cos I haven't tried them!!

Well, I've  been using the Netherworks package for Aiko, and it works like a charm for those morphs it covers. Unfortunately, I've added a few it doesn't deal with, which make her calves a little extra large -- but I manage to get stockings and the like to conform with a little dial twiddling.

I've also used Morph magic to transfer the JCMs afterwards.

It also depends on what you're trying to do.

If you're using Wardrobe Wizard already, WW will convert to a morphed figure if you're just trying to get clothing on a supported customized figure. There's not much advantage to injecting a bunch of body morphs into a clothing item that you're using for yourself because it just bulks up the vertex count for the clothing figure and stresses Poser by eating up resources. If you're releasing the item for others to use, then adding morphs is useful because it adds flexibility to the clothing item for them without their needing WW or other programs.

The problem I've found with Wardrobe Wizard is that it loses clothing adjustment handles, and it also destroys existing custom morphs (for things like adjusting clothing, opening/closing jackets etc.) There are some designers out there who have made terrific sets with lots to play with, but without the standard morphs, and Wardrobe Wizard really doesn't work on those thaht well.

I use Morph Magic to enable items to be used on morphed figures, when the clothing figure does not contain any morphs to begin with (e.g. something that is designed to fit base V3 only).   It works quite well, but it does have consequences for resources, as rreynolds has said.   It is limited to putting morphs from a figure into a clothing item designed for that figure, so it is not equivalent to Wardrobe Wizard.

About how long does it take Morph Magic to transfer a full set of Vicky 3 full-body morphs? Mine seemed to freeze up sometime over dinner :(

It does take a while to do the transfers.   I've only ever transferred a subset of the morphs, because they are normally sufficient..   I have known Morph Magic to use up all the memory and seize up.   You can tell from the task manager if that is happening (CPU comes down, but memory use stays in the far north and doesn't vary).   Even if I am wanting to apply morphs to two similar items, e.g. a left and a right boot, I find it's best to do one item at a time.
