Poser Forum Online and DAZ Productions create a new Funstuff section Salt Lake City, Utah April 16, 2001 - Poser Forum Online (PFO), (www.poserforum.net) an online community for 3D artists, modelers, animators and developers joined forces with Digital Art Zone (DAZ) Productions, (www.daz3d.com) the number one source for Poser 3D models, to create the PFO/DAZ 3D Funstuff. This new resource is located at http://pfo.daz3d.com, and will allow individual artists to share resources through posting their quality free models and other Poser items online. Since the founding of the PFO in June of 1998, it has gone through many changes and growth spurts. However, with Poser users continual support we thrive with the spirit of community, friends and learning together," said Willow DaNaan, Founder of Poser Forum. We invite all to join in celebrating this new aspect of PFO/DAZ 3D Funstuff. The PFO/DAZ 3D Funstuff will host models, textures and props created by Poser users from around the world. In conjunction with DAZ Productions Grand Opening, a Reboot Your Brain contest will take place. More information on this contest will be posted on the Poser Forum. The new PFO/DAZ 3D Funstuff is a solid site that will have features found on no other site. Anticipation is that it will become the centerpiece of the Poser community with continued growth and involvement allowing talented artists to post their work alongside other top quality free products, said Chad Smith, Product Development Manager of DAZ Productions. Through this partnership DAZ has given PFO the opportunity to offer a better service to users. DAZ will help to grow Poser by offering a large selection of top quality products and seeing that DAZ products utilize the Poser technology to its fullest potential. "At DAZ, we seek to sell only top quality 3D models and products, whether we have created them ourselves or if they are brokering from other talented 3D artists. We will encourage the artists whose products are brokered by DAZ to create free models for this new section as well," said Dan Farr, President of DAZ Productions "Due to numerous requests to centrally locate add-on products for Michael and Victoria we are especially excited to offer a place where these models will be found," said Smith. Poser is an extremely popular tool for 3D character animation, known for its extensive libraries of ready-to-use 3D characters and easy-to-use interface. "The PFO has strived to serve the Poser Community for many years. We felt that it was important to work with them to help make the Funstuff section available to all," said Chris Creek, Vice President and Creative Director of DAZ Productions. Pricing and Availability Victoria, Michael, animals, accessories, software utilities, textures and other Poser products are available at the DAZ Productions store. Individual models start at US$10. In addition to the PFO/DAZ 3D Funstuff, DAZ provides a free model on a weekly basis at http://www.daz3d.com. Do we still have to provide our own web space or is this something where Daz provides the space?

I visited the site, very nice and easily to surf. Obviously the are starting from the zero so few things are available for download, but is a new start and I give to them my congratulations. Shadowcat you must click on the cookies botton so it allow you to go inside the site.

shadowcat ( ) posted Mon, 16 April 2001 at 7:44 PM

I did click for the cookie, as I said I got as far as the tie textures. I also understand it's new, but I got error messages after that. Where else am I too report possible bugs? I believe that annemarie is involved with this project somehow and she was probably notified when I posted my difficulties. everything I clicked on after the tie textures gave me an error message, including the view button below the ties.

How does one upload something there? Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 17 April 2001 at 1:56 AM

Liz, there is a "Submit" button towards the top of the page.

Dreamspinner ( ) posted Tue, 17 April 2001 at 3:05 AM

Ahhh, there isn't a Submit button.... Liz

KateTheShrew ( ) posted Tue, 17 April 2001 at 10:09 AM

Liz is right. I was just there. No "submit" button anywhere.

wyrwulf ( ) posted Tue, 17 April 2001 at 10:52 AM

It looks like it's only for PFO members to upload. There is a PFO member login and then the Submit button is there. Sorry for the confusion.
