Subject: problem with a conforming skirt model

I've been working on a skirt model and I've gotten stuck. I built the model, set it up to be conforming, and thanks to the Nerd's excellent help, I've got it looking good. The problem is, the skirt seems to only conform around the hips when I assign Poser's default poses to the skirt. I knew it would need some tweaking for many poses, but the skirt doesn't seem to pose at all in the thigh areas even for minor leg changes. After looking in the pz3 file, I believe I've got the thigh names spelled right and matching in the P4NF figure and the conforming skirt figure. Has anyone seen that happen before? I need a little tip on where to look so I know where to go next.

Repoint the the P4 skirt CR2 to your OBJ file and see if that helps. There are two references in the CR2 that need to be changed. This can be done in a plain text editor, but CR2Editor1.51 by John Stallings works better (PC). You can get it in the files section of the PoserTECH e-mail list: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PoserTECH -JH.

Thanks Jeff. I looked, and my CR2 doesn't have any OBJ references in it. The .pz3 file did have obj references in it. I tried your suggestion there, but it didn't work. I wonder if I was looking at the wrong file. Did you really mean the conforming CR2 file?

Yes, the conforming CR2.

OK Jeff, I tried taking the skirt and saving it into the library to create a CR2. I modified the CR2 to point to my original OBJ. I reloaded a P4NW, and then added the new skirt back into the picture. Same problem still occurs. In addition, the skirt starts off above and to the right of the nude model. I feel like I'm missing something basic. I've reviewed Nerd's tutorial, and some others, and I cannot see what it is. Joey
