Well I tried poking around but it's intensly difficult to navigate that site, I tried and tried to find out what the rules were - I failed...

Thanks Dialyn.
You know, I think I might just have something that would fit this...
Although I might just work on it a bit first...

Er... do you mean a sort of play on words, like "Write on, man!" Or was that an order?
Cos if it's an order, what do you want me to write?
No point writing for this competition since according to the rules if entering in August (or September) you can't enter more than once.

I would never order anyone to do anything. "Write on" was meant as encouragement, and no more than that.
I'm not sure I understand this: No point writing for this competition since according to the rules if entering in August (or September) you can't enter more than once.
The animals were laughing at the lioness because she only had one cub. "That's true," said the lionness, with great pride, "but that one is a king."

Shame, I thought you had an idea. I don't mind being ordered to write something... I don't have to follow the order, since I'm not in the army any more... ggg
But thanks for the encouragement.

Well that's what I understood the rules to be saying, thus:
Quote - Writers cannot submit entries in two consecutive Contest periods. For example, if a writer enters the July competition (June 27- July 31), and is not selected during the July Contest period, he/she cannot re-enter with a new submission until the September Contest period begins (September 1).
Therefore, if you've entered in the August period, you could enter again in October - skipping a competition period, but as there isn't a competition period after the September one - you can't...
It doesn't really matter to me since I don't think I've got another short story, and I could not write one that quickly.

You may have to poke around the website to get the complete information, but I didn't see an entry fee, which is good.
