Subject: Adding clouds in Atmosphere editor crashing application

Terrance ( ) posted Mon, 14 August 2006 at 12:01 AM · edited Sun, 17 November 2024 at 1:18 AM

Hi everyone,

I'm a new Vue 5 Pro Studio user and also my first post in the forum, although I have read a lot of your posts and have found some very helpful information. I've searched the forum for a possible solution for the problem I'm having but was unable to find anything' so I'm hoping someone here might have some suggestions. My problem is that as soon as I try to add clouds through the atmosphere editor the application crashes. I've tried it with terrains inserted and with just the default opening scene and it still crashes. I've checked my video card settings and have all the recent updates for everything.

I'm using an Alienware ALX 64 with dual Gforce 6800 ultras in SLI mode, 2 Gigs of ram, 10,000 rpm 180 Gig HD

If anyone has also had this problem or has a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated, as I said earlier I'm new to Vue 5 and haven't got a clue

Thanks in advance, Terrance

I had the same problem with Vue 5 Esprit. If you have Vue 5.10 you will have to go back to version 5.09. E-on says they have fixed this with version 5.11, however I have not tried this upgrade because it is still beta. 5.09 works fin for me.

Best regards, Christoph

Gerberc,

Thanks for your quick response. I am using Ver.5.10 so will re install to 5.09 and see if that works. Thanks again for your help.
