Hey! A question I can actually answer! As long as Rikishi has the probper facial morphs, you can make him Mimic compatable. I had to make Kit mimic compatable for a project I am currently doing, and it really isn't that difficult.
Open Mimic normally and load Rikishi (or any character that has the phoeneme morphs). Load your wav, and make sure the default.dmc configuration file is loaded, then click OK.
Once your all loaded, double click on a phoenom. A new window opens up in which you can define the mouth movements for the phoenom. The problem is that Rishiki most likely has different names for the morph targets.
In the Definition window, click on the Add button, then double-click "Head" from the Object tree.
A new window opens up. Make sure all the ojects on the Definition window match the name in the Objects window. In the case of Kit, they were fairly close but the names differed in little ways, such as a hyphen instead of an underscore. Manually go through all the phoenomes and match thing up. Delete the definitions that do not work. You will also need to do the same thing for the Expressions.
Once you are done, SAVE YOUR FILE. You will be able to reload the file later and not need to make any changes, plus you can share your file with others. I've been meaning to pubish the Kit.dmc so others can benefit, I've just been too lazy...
Good Luck!
Thanks for the very thorough reply. Unfortunately I should have worded my question better. I should have said:
Does Rikishi have the necessary phoenoms to make it Mimic compliant?
(I get the impression there are not very many morphs on this character and there is no mention of Mimic in the readme.)
Once again- thanks.
