I f you buy xfrog cd you will get formats ready to use in different softwares. Like 3ds, vob for vue and other file types.
xfrog plants are very high quality and why someone says they dont look good I have no idea. :)
With cds or dvds you also get the bill boards on the 2,0 version. The older cds didnt have all the extras you now get with new cd or dvds. :)
Personaly I think they are some the best plants to be had. I like them better than the solid growth that come with Vue. Personal opinion of course. :)

For vue to handle xfr you would need xfrog lite to convert the xfr files to either 3ds or other type of files to import into Vue. Once imported into vue you could then save them as vobs.
I ahve a few of the older xfrog cds that I had to do that way. Now with new xfrog cd you get most all major software files that dont need to be converted to use in programs. vobs is one of them. :)

I have reviews and tutorials on both Renderosity's site, now in the news archives, and on mine, http://www.perpetualvisions.com/tocs/toc-articles.htm on most of the Xfrog products. I really like all of them.

Before i go purchasing any xfrog plants i was curious if anyone knew how they looked imported into vue? Ive heard imported as obj they look bad. What is the best format to import them into vue as? And is there any plugins that alow for direct xfr file extensions to be imported directly into vue? Ive never played with any xfrog plants but they look awesome when i see them in rendered pics and if anyone has any info on theis topic id really appreciate it.. :)
Thanks
