Subject: odd question about my products...

dlblue ( ) posted Sun, 20 August 2006 at 1:06 PM · edited Thu, 14 November 2024 at 7:56 AM

I actually have a few questions.
I am completely new to all of this so bear with me here.
2 fridays ago, I submitted a package for the daz darkworld wings. it was a texture package for the fae wings> I got the template from a friend online and made the textures. She told me that I should sell them because she loved them. I haven't heard anythingyet on that one.
About 3 days ago, I submitted some fractal stand alone wings that I made and they have already been accepted. Now my question is this, is there a different wait time because of the first set being for  a poser figure?
Also, I share completely blank templates with others to see what we all can come up with in the way of textures, is this a bad thing to do if there is no original textures being used, just the templates?

Hi,

I looked in the tester forum, and found the following information that was emailed to you in regards to your first product:  If you have any questions, please contact antje@renderosity.com as she was the tester that tested this product.

Hello,

I have tested your Wildwingz product for the Renderosity Marketplace and noticed the following problems:

  1. Your file-list inside your readme is incomplete. All files inside your archive will have to be listed in your file-list.

  1. Your product doesn't state a product requirement. ie Poser 4, Poser 5.

  1. These files contained absolute paths in them:
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzflamy.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzfracty.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzfracty2.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzlightning.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzrainbow.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzsunny.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzvortexx.pz2
    RuntimelibrariesPoseDlblueWildwingzwicked.pz2

ie:

Your current texture path is listed as:

textureMap "C:Program FilesCurious LabsPoser 6RuntimetexturesDlblueWildwingzwicked.jpg"

You will have to change this to:

textureMap "Runtime:textures:Dlblue:Wildwingz:wicked.jpg"

Please note, that the path's will have to start at "Runtime" and will need to be a "relative" path. You will have to replace the backslashes () with colons (:).

  1. Your product thumbnail is too small. Product thumbnails have to be 200x200 pixels in size.

Your product failed testing and has been deleted from the pending queue.

Feel free to re-upload your product when it's ready.

OH MY! LOL> I never saw that one. Where is the forum you found this in? And which email did they send it to> Some of my mail has been messing up in my yahoo account. I will fix these problems as soon as I can. I really appreciate this! I was lost for a little while! LOL
And I must say, I am very proud to have had Antje test my wings! I love their work very much and want to learn how to use hairbrushes soon that I have gotten from their site!

The forum in which this is posted is the Private Tester forum.  The email address the testers send to is the one that is included in the readme file for the product.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.  And by all means feel free to contact Antje if you have any questions regarding her testing results.

YAY! I got my approval for the second package today with no problems, And the link for the forum was in it! Odd because I still couldn't find the first one that Antje sent. I even checked my bulk mail. But now I can keep track. Thank you for all of your help hun> Without you guys, these forums would be useless! And her assessment of my pack was right on. I fixed everything in it. For my first package, I was expecting a LOT more errors than what I actually had. I guess I did better than I had thought.
