OK I got one....do you use  your own photograph as your desktop background?? Go on then, lets see your current screen background. I've had this one on since I June. I think I'll change it now so here it is while its still current. Planet Hollywood's  domed ceiling. I hope its not been done yet I can't see it on the "Simon" list. Remember CURRENT...the one thats on your background screen right now!....lol

i'm on my mums computer and it is the windows plain blue background thing after i readjusted the screen resolution for something i was doing... pretty boring really ;)

My computer has my picture of a penguin that is in my gallery (link above)

Yeah....aaakward...okay so, i too agree to have one of my own photos as a desktop. I wish i could be like Jim....just sell ´em....sigh....you bastard you. LOL.

This is the one i have at the moment...it doesn´t take up so much space on the screen either.

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

Okay, you FINALLY MADE ME DO IT! I cleaned my desktop! Okay, it is still not empty, but that is about as good as it will ever get. I'm sure by the end of the day, half of it will be covered again, lol. Funny that a Simone got me to clean it up when no other motivation could. Thanks aangus! This is a matte painting of Castle Dracula by an artist who signs his work DEAK @ HATCH. It was taken from the mattepainting.org website. I am blown away by the work there. Go check out some of the Atlantis Contest entries.

At the moment I've actually got a screen graphic that seperates my icons into groups in an effort to organise myself.  It's worked for 2 weeks or so now.....lol

However, my favourite background screen by far was when I went through that stupid phase with others of moving my monitor out of the way, taking a photo of BEHIND the monitor and making that the background screen - a virtual transparent monitor.  It's fun, try it sometime....lol

Nope aangus. I have several old postcards, and I thought this one would look good. I probably should convert it to oval to spice the border up a bit.

ReBorne ( ) posted Thu, 24 August 2006 at 11:06 AM

Damn and blast!  Just when I was bragging about organisation, I added another new program to my desktop and realised I didn't have space in the alloted section.  Now I don't know WHAT I want to be my desktop again... sigh

Hmmmm............ starts moving stuff out of way to see what's behind monitor....

Mine is the latest image that I finished and posted:

I had always used something others had done until I found out how fun it is to create my own. Now I use my photos mostly. (they give me an incentive to work in my yard, LOL, like removing that fence that continues to put faint lines through my deer shots).

this is one I took Aug. 18th...

Currently I used this homemade paper (modeled and rendered by myself)

Only got a few icons on my desktop, but those are not interesting :) This is a scaled down version though, the actual one is 1600x1200.
