Subject: Presets - Where can I find collections?

Do any of you guys know where I can find good presets for things like terrain, sky, volumetric clouds, foilage. Odd materials for Sci Fi images like paneled metal sheeting and things like that? I downloaded the Art of Shaders and there is some really cool ones, but I am looking for more esoteric type stuff and landscape supporting materials. Pretty much anything that is out of the ordinary and really cool looking. Thanks in advance. Chris

On a on a related note. Are older shader packs for older versions of carrara compatible with version 5. I know I can import some of them, but will they support the same characteristics in 5 as they did in the version they were designed for, or will I lose features and functionality.

The ones that come with C5 aren't enough of a start?  You have 60 landscape scenes and 43 sky scenes. Under objects between the deserts, plains, and mountains, you've got 50 terrain objects., not to mention clouds and plants.  Have you tried editing some of the objects to suit, if none of these are acceptable?  I haven't seen lots of shader collections in general.  I'm not sure how out of the ordinary a shader you want.  If it doesn't need to be a procedural shader, you can quickly make your own from free textures found on the web.  Lemog's is a good place to start for free texture maps.  A Bryce user recently made a large collection of Bryce mats using his "meat" texture maps.  Pretty out of the ordinary if you ask me. ;-)

Ah yes!  You can never have enough extra goodies!  I agree! :)

Here's another link for texture maps.  Over 1200 metal maps alone.  You should find some nice metal plates and space looking things in there.

Seems to me that only about 3 of the 9 water shaders that come with carrara look real, and that's not many. So if anyone one knows where some good c5 watershaders are, le me know . I got a few with art of shaders.
Thanks
