Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 30 4:51 pm)
Aiko3 and Hiro3 morphs are 'built-in' like other non-DAZversion3 figures. The only way to remove them is to edit the PZ3 - or find some Poser Python script/external application that strips morphs from a Poser file (PZ3).

I find this type of figures easier to work with - all the morphs are where I want them, and I can use any of them anytime I want to. All that INJ-REM stuff is so messy :/

That's true, but there's something to be said for being able to slim down a file by removing morphs. I can delete A3/H3 morphs manually, I suppose, but putting them back, if I change my mind, isn't straightforward (I am not sure that there is any way to do that, since A3 and H3 are always expected to contain all of their morphs).

OTOH wading through all the teeth and lip and ear and nose and cheek and brow
and eye and facial features and head morphs that are set to zero anyway to get to
the smile morphs gets kind of messy too. I mean if have have a normal human
woman I don't need the cat ears and cat nose and fangs morphs.
Morgano, just DO NOT remove them from the original CR2!!! Then they will be gone forever (or until you reinstall A3/H3). Changing built-in morphs into Inj/Rem morphs is straight forward and there may already be software to let you do this. Then you can make a new A3 CR2, turn all of the internal morphs into INJ morphs, and you do not lose anything - and now you have a choice between a version of A3 with internal morphs and a version with INJ morphs.

No, I haven't done anything to the original, but thanks for the warning. I tend to keep original installation files pretty religiously sacrosanct.
How should I convert built-in morphs to INJ/REM ones? Is that something that I can do by editing an uncompressed Poser file? I think that that is what onimusha is looking for, too (or, at any rate, the closest available option) .
Thanks,
Morgano
Never tried it myself, but there is Injection Magic over at DAZ. I'd suggest getting experiential comments about it from anyone who has used it.

I've used MM4 for characters. The only problem is in the Mil3 line all I see is numbers where the morphs are. It has been impossible to avoid deleating the Joint Controled Morphs because who knows which they are.I also found this.

It might be useful but don't know if it leaves the Joint Controled Morphs alone or not. It sure looks good though.

When I create a character I usually load all the morphs, play with the dials until I'm satisfied with the character and then spawn morph targets for each of the character's body parts. I can then remove the morphs and make the character's .pz3 considerably smaller in size because only the morph targets I created are left in the character. I'm having a problem doing this with A3 because there don't seem to be any morph inj or remove files like there are with the other DAZ figures. Are they simply lost in my runtime? Is there a way to remove the morphs from the A3 character?
Thanks...
