Ok... here it is and thanks to Fuzzyshadows for the last WOE. I expect this one will be too easy. Good luck! Jodie

I kid-proofed my house but they STILL get in!!

Ah, now this is small.... and obviously converts lots of movement in one direction to a little movement in another.... my guess is the winder movement of a clock....

Guitar/mandolin/banjo tuning peg from the back...too easy for me

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound

I agree with bobbystahr: Guitar tuning peg.

Tuning peg, plain and easy.  And if i am not mistaken it is technically called a Machine Head with a worm gear ;)

Edit - Machine Head is also the name of a Metal band - guess where they might have got their name from... ;)

Now imagine the surprise when Jodie tells us that it is the crown wheel of that old Farmall tractor...

Wow... great guesses. Bobby is the closest. It IS a tuning peg, but all 3 of the stringed instruments he listed are wrong. Plus, it was shot from the side, not the back. "Machine head with worm gear"...Good eye, Inshaala! So, do you want to keep guessing? Or hand the torch to Bobby? C'mon!! Figure out which - with these new hints. :-D Jodie :0)

I knew that would be a tough one, now for a clue, will she take 2 x $100 bills?

Sure, I can call it. I thought right away that Bobby should get it. Even my mother, who had a similar instrument taking up space in her livingroom, didn't get it! The instrument is an upright bass fiddle (bass viol). Sorry, I don't know if it's European. The label on the inside says Englehardt... what do you think? Anyway, here is the big picture uncropped. CONGRATS BOBBY :-D and let's see your W.O.E. Jodie
