Does anyone know how to keep the dynamic in an outfit when importing it into Vue5? Emily

You need the Mover plugin.

Either that, or you need Vue Infinite (it has Mover built in).

I am using infinite. how do I use mover? Emily

if you have infinate then no probs, just select "import object" select the pz3 of your character and then you will be prompted to load either a sequence(anim) or single frame, choose single frame and then select the frame number that your dynamic simulation animation ended on, and import that.

hi vince,

I did that. and the everything was fine, cept my clothes were not in dyn postion, they were at zero pose. :(

ok! not sure what happened so i'll tell you what i do:(this presumes you have done the collide against settings for the cloth you are using)

frame 1: default pose for figure (lets say V3) add dynamic cloth, and make sure it fits propally (then keyframe, frame 1) then move the animation frame slider to frame 30, and pose the figure(v3) to the desired pose you wish to use, after all posing is complete ( then keyframe: frame 30)select the cloth, then go to the cloth room, run the simulation with 25 "drape frames", ( be sure to uncheck (in the "collide against" pop-up) "start draping from zero pose" if you had to adjust the figure to make the cloth fit!) then click on "edit choreographed group" then click the arrow on that new pop-up window, and select "default", then click "calculate simulation"

as long as everything went ok you should now have a 30 frame(or whatever you choose) animation, presuming everything went ok, frame 30 should now be the pose you desired with the cloth draped how you wanted it! ( now save that as your PZ3) close poser.

open vue with whatever scene you have made or started, then click the "file" drop-down menu and select "import object" and locate you saved PZ3, (tap fingers whilst it works this out) then you get a "poser import options" pop-up, check the "import single frame from poser animation" option, and write 30 in the "frame to import" box,(more finger tapping) and voila you should have your posed figure and draped cloth in your scene. if this doesn't work then i can't help you as this always works for me.

Hope this helps.
