Gawd what a terrible way to spread information - a 5 minute gap between every 6 words.  I got so fed up I turned it off.  Why on earth would anyone pick such a dreadful way to tell people about... well anything?

Abut 15 years ago I was telling someone how I think desk size LCD touch/pen screens will be the ultimate computer interfce...  They thought I was waaaaaay out in the left field.
I'm excited they're making them.

I should try to patent some of my 'left field' ideas... LOL

I don't see why, the Enterprise-D has been using touch-screens since the 80's..;)

Oh sure.  In fact I've even downloaded an entire movie, not just a trailer - but they let you download the whole thing - however long that took, and then you could see the whole thing running normally like a movie is expected to, not 6 words, then a five minute gap, then another 6 words, then another 5 minute gap etc etc .

I tried moving the slider back to the beginning - hoping to play it once it had finished downloading - but the silly thing just began again from the beginning with the first 6 words and a five minute gap etc etc all over again.

It's like it didn't download at all and you can only have 6 words (or it might have been 8 but I did count them I was so outraged!) followed by a gap in time so huge that you can never remember what he said the last time - so you can not make sense of it...

i'm sure it - whatever it was - is just lovely but they made it impossible for me to see it...

But it doesn't bother me - I was a bit peeved at the time, but I've got plenty of other things to do without worrying about this...

Jeff Han made a very good point! Why are we still dealing with external devices in the 21st Century? We should be using digital interfaces by now. I think this is very cool and I can't wait to see it more mainstream...of course I'm sure the price tag is be hefty.

well, because they have to be cheap enough for the average fellahin to afford..;) I only stick my hands inside computers when I get paid fer it..;)

I hate sites that won't let you download the damn videos.  What the hell are they afraid of anyway?  I cannot get a better connection either.  Even though I sit at the edge of the fifth largest city in the US, I am stuck with a dialup connection.
