Happy Birthday Marlene

And every one said, 'If we only live,

Marlene, you are worth all happiness there is!!!

A little paranthesis to all of you with a non-English native language:

Often you jump into phrases that have absolutely no meaning for you. When I asked my daughter (who lived in San Francisco for two years) today what "the bees knees" meant, she explained and sent me this link.

Maybe even good for you English speaking people???

Zacko ( ) posted Mon, 28 August 2006 at 12:47 PM

That´s great Gun. Thank you. 😄

I did a search on "dogs bollocks"....and at first i got a link called "Pet Penis" :bored: but after some more reseach i found this explanation:

"For reasons that aren't clear, dog's bollocks, which have all the credentials to be thought of badly, are considered the top of the tree. Dog do enjoy licking them of course, but there's no evidence that links the coining of this phrase to that. It is most likely that this is just a nonsense phrase, coined because it sounds good. In that it would join a long list of earlier nonsense phrases, e.g. 'the cat's pyjamas', 'the bee's knees' etc."

Cat´s pyjamas? LMAO!!! I just found myself a new favorite phrase. :woot:
