THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT: Firefox on renderosity forum?

ddaydreams ( ) posted Mon, 28 August 2006 at 8:54 PM · edited Sun, 06 October 2024 at 5:47 AM

When I try to copy or paste into the body field here, i get a message"Your browser settings don't permit the editor to automaticly exicute pasting operations.
(Please use keyboard for that  Ctrl.+V)"

Anyway in firefox how do I change those settings, I cant find a place in options to make that change in firefox.
Thanks

I am not sure but I think it's something in the site coding. Cut and paste works fine over at renderotica and CGTalk with firefox.

Weird...  Would have never known that until you brought it up, since I'm used to the keyboard shortcuts for cut, copy, and paste.
But it probably has more to do with the Java applet text entry box than Firefox.

Just use control v to paste.

I've always used ctrl C and ctrl V to copy and paste - but although I used to use FireFox, I've upgraded to SeaMonkey, Mozilla's latest - and in there when I just now highlighted some text - the Copy function that was previously greyed out became active.

I have found that the way you can set up SeaMonkey to have everything ready for you (like I need a larger text size and here I can set it so that a web page never displays text below my setting, think I have it at 16point) plus the tabbed browsing is very simple - you can also set it up so that all links open a new tab in the same window when clicked - there are other options and it all makes browsing and looking for stuff so much easier.

I can recommend it.

The people on Mozilla usually give good advice and are very helpful but it can sometimes take days before you get any answers.
