Subject: Security message at login

BDC ( ) posted Fri, 25 August 2006 at 8:56 AM · edited Fri, 27 December 2024 at 4:21 PM

Why is it that I keep getting a message poping up saying that the security certificate is not valid when I go to login?

Hi BDC, I'm not getting this message.

Is this a message coming from your browser or security software?

I just did a test and logged out, then logged back in with no security message.

Latest version of IE 6.0 (I couldn't stand IE 7...lol)

What Browser(s) are you guys using BDC?

Hi BDC, Thanks. I'm not sure why your seeing that.

I removed my cookie and logged back in just fine without any Security Alerts.

IE 6 as well.

Isn't it an optional setting in IE whether or not you get those alerts? Maybe BDC has his set for `warn' and the rest of you don't.  I can't recall what the default flag on that is (haven't used IE in a long time).

In the IE menu, look at Tools>Internet Options>Advanced, then scroll down to "security" and there's a checkbox for "Warn about invalid site certificates".

Hi pearce, I've got a check mark next to the "Warn about invalid certificates"..

I'll keep looking into this.
