I have no idea where to find the writers gallery.  Navigation here in this community is absolutely beyond me!

How much can one post into the gallery?

I have my own image gallery with the art forum - do I get one for my writing?

I'm used to reviewing works and getting "real" comments on my work, not just the obligatory "nice work". Is it customery here? Do other members get to see the comments once a work has been posted to the central gallery?

In the main banner click on galleries in the dropdown menu scroll down to writers and click again

As for your other questions:

*You can post as much as you want, but I think you're limited to one post per day unless you're a subscriber.

*I do believe that all of your submissions for the different galleries are combined into one personal gallery. I believe each entry has what gallery it's been entered into as part of its description though.

*Actually, as I suppose you'd see just about anywhere, you'll get a mixture of comments. Some people will give you the typical 'nice work' and 'good job' but you'll also get very constructive criticism as well as sincere compliments here as well. I find that writers tend to actually offer more constructive criticism here than you may find in some of the other galleries. Likewise, they tend to appreciate constructive criticism more as well. Finally, yes, others can read the comments that other readers may have submitted. When you upload your story, you should see a checkbox that allows for people to comment on your story. If this is checked, then people can leave their thoughts and criticisms. If you leave it unchecked, then the commenting function is disabled and you won't get any comments at all unless people send them personally through messages to you.

One point, when you choose "Writers" section, you can post a 450  x 450 pxl main pic to go above the text, plus a 200 x 200 regular thumbnail.  Then paste your text in the large comments box - there we are limited to 25,000 keystrokes (I think, or was that the old limit - it will tell you).

Some writing programs require extra lines between paragraphs, as R'rosity doesn't regognize indents.

While waiting for the answers to come in, I tried to solve some of the mysteries myself, but I must admit I couldn't find the way to the page where I can post anything... :blushing:

I got as far as opening the writers gallery.  No sign of anything which will allow posting. Help again?

Hi Hanna

You don't need to go to the writers gallery (or any specific gallery) to upload. Click Galleries on main banner at top. That brings up the general Art Gallery page. Immediately below the words "Art Gallery" (above the 2 dropdown boxes) you'll see a row of headings, the fifth from the left of which is "upload". Click it to get the Upload image page. Fill in the boxes: Select Gallery = Writers; Select Genre (pick one); I guess if you're submitting to the Writers Gallery You'll be filing in or copying to the Comments dialogue box (you may also have images you wish to upload) if so use the Browse buttons to select the image from your hard drive. At the bottom of the upload page be sure to Select an Advisory (None, Violence, Nudity, Both) and check the Terms of Service box, or your upload wont happen. hope that gets you there.

Multi thanks.  I just finished loading my first poem here.  It's a shame one cannot change the font or the colour.  The poem looks dull...

It's a pain in the neck to be able to load only one item a day, but who am I to complain? Lol..

I've read your poem, and it's certainly not dull; your words make it bounce. But I do agree it's not an ideal format for graphically enhanced verse, I paticularly don't like the limitations on accompanying graphic size; for instance if you wanted to embed text into a graphic and upload it at a reasonable size that permits people to read it clearly, the best place to post it I think would be the Mixed Medium Gallery. I've uploaded several of my poems as comments with my other artwork in other galleries.

You could become a subscription member to enable you to upload more than one a day. I personally find it adequate. I've discovered there is a phenomenon which you might call "viewers commentary fatigue".
