**Calling all fettish, sci-fi, and gothic poser artists!!!**

Hi everyone

I wanted to see if there was any interest in this.

I'm wanting to start up a poser art magazine, featuring all sci-fi, gothic, and fettish poser artists. Anything sick twisted and your in!

The magaazine will be named after my website (Forbidden Whispers)

So it'll be Forbidden Whispers Magazine

The first issue will be a free downloadable Ezine. Future issues if the magazine takes off will be printed and ezines..... depending on how much interest there is.

Basically here's the submission guidelines: To be sent in an email

Five images per artist (min of 200 dpi)
Your real name
A small bio about yourself (why u like the art u do ect)
your portfolio website or link to where your art is mostly seen
The names/titles of each image.
Submissions should go to forbiddenwhispers@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks Again

Anna & Michael

Do the five images need to be new or might one send pics that have been posted elsewhere?

<-insert words of wisdom here->

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Sat, 02 September 2006 at 8:06 AM

No they dont have to be new at all.... just good quality and a resonably good DPI for print... min dpi 200

i'M turning into the sci-gi/goth realm with my new art and my new comics, so I'll bookmark your website and probably will be contacting you soon (when i'm ready to do my comeback)..

sounds like a kickass idea so far...

Fugazi1968 ( ) posted Sat, 02 September 2006 at 1:20 PM

Would you be interested in a decent render of my new goth dress?  I've just posted a giveaway thread a few above this one, have a look and let me know.

Is there a deadline or is this a rolling submission?

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Sun, 03 September 2006 at 12:52 AM

I wanna try get the magazine completed by the end of october so we dont have to rush things.

This really isn't my style: why do so many people lump together sci-fi with such elements as "fetish", "gothic", and even "horror"? Is it just the Hollywood tendency to use any excuse to put curvaceous women in tight clothes?

Casette ( ) posted Sun, 03 September 2006 at 11:40 AM

A little question: 'YOUR REAL NAME'? Some of us are well-known in Poser and 3D world because our nickname...

(I'm asking it because I'm interested and obviously I have 'more than five' pics in this style... )

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Sun, 03 September 2006 at 1:43 PM

I want real names because i think its a nice personal touch to put a name to the screenname if you get me.... thats why i've asked for personal websites/portfolio site or a site you post your work on most often.

In your bio you can always say "i am so and  so, i post as Casette at rendo.com and many other digital artsites around the net, i'm mostly well known at.....ect".....

If ya get what i mean. :-)

Cheers

I get what you're trying to do, however, I would NOT like my real name to show up. I do have some images to send to you for this, see the attached link for example, but I would definitely NOT want my real name included in any case.

If including the real name is not a requirement, then I will be sending you the images. If it is, I'll have to pass. Sorry, but I've worked quite hard at keeping my professional and fun lives separated, and I wouldn't want them mixed.

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Sun, 03 September 2006 at 4:47 PM

oh hell no, real name isnt a requirement, i totally respect your dicision and privacy... it was just an idea for those who wish to go along with it! Of course you can use your sudo name. I'm sure there's many other artists who also would like the same option. So yes, thats totally OK with me!!

May i just say that image rocks!!! I wish i could pull of sci-fi that well....

Please feel free to email me all the stuff i need as stated above... you can send it to forbiddenwhispers@hotmail.co.uk or annabird927@hotmail.com

Thanks again

what is the criteria for selection into the ezine?
Does it have to be dark and twisted?
These submissions are for the first issue, but would some be held over for issue2...or would you want different submissions for round 2?

You see, I'm predicting success :)

btw...what else is going in there? other than images

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Mon, 04 September 2006 at 1:40 PM

Dave its just images for now and interviews with certain artists

We're thinking also dark poetry and writing, but probably save that for the second issue depending on how successful this is.

Yes, if there are exccess submissions we will carry your images over to issue two if accepted :-)

Feel free to email me and my partner  your details if you are interested.

i just want to encourage you and hope that this venture exceeds your expectations! taking on something like this is overwhelming but also very fulfilling. i applaude you. golfclap

i look forward to contributing some images. just a quick question about submitting pics though, is there any limit on the erotica? (showing off the female body all!) i just feel asi f with this latest pic i'm working on i'm just starting to hit my stride...if you know what i mean.

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Mon, 04 September 2006 at 5:53 PM

MrPeaBody,

Hello there, and nice to meet you. :-)

There is no limit to the erotica/nudity involved, just nothing like sexual content. Innuendos are fine... just nothing thats like performing the act.....

Female/male nudity is completely fine.....

You're very welcome!  😄

Couple of questions...what format do you prefer/allow for the pics?  (jpg, tiff, bmp, etc?)  And what about dimensions?  Is there a minimum size/maximum size?

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Mon, 04 September 2006 at 6:52 PM

It would be easier for me if images are around 2000-4000 pixels at 200DPI just to get that good print quality :-)

Images would be prefered as Jpeg or Tiff.

Thanks again

Anna & Mikey

sorry fiddling with fonts... lol...

Isn't showcasing one word? All the best with this, will be looking forward to the first issue. Just curious, are you selling it or how are you supporting it? Thanks.

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Tue, 05 September 2006 at 4:15 PM

First copy with been a free downloadable Ezine.

I'll be using a free site for printing of future magazine issues....

The way it works is the magazine gives you a price of how much it'll cost, and then whoever buys the magazine just pays for what it costs from their site. Its a totally free service, so mike and i aren't making a profit unless we markup the price of the magazine.

We dont want to make a profit on this, its a hobby to get ours and your artwork seen.

I hope that explains it

OK just to update you all...

The deadline for submissions to be featured in Issue 1, will need to be sent to us by 23rd of  September as we are pushing for an Oct 1st release date. WIth the magazine running bi-monthly. Any submissions recieved after that date will be carried forward into Issue 2. That will give myself and Anna a week to make the pages up for those final submissions that come in and gives us chance to make sure everything is right before we release it.

All the artists that have so far submitted their work have their pages made, and I am curently tweaking the front page, back page and content of the magzine. And we have some fantastic work on display already let me tell you.

You can submit as many images as you like, all that we require is you try and make them as high-res as possible so that if the magazine does goes to print as we hope, it will aid in the printing process. But if you do not have hi-res images available don't fret we will make do with what you can give us :)

Seeing as this magazine is about you, in fact about all of us artists we would like to offer you the chance to bounce some ideas towards us with suggestions for future content. We are mearly trying to provide a platform to showcase all your work and make this a huge success for all of us. So to make sure we get this right, we'd like to know what you would like to see featured..

We'd like to thank those who have submitted work already, and would hope they continue to submit work for future issues. We both hope, as all of us do that we can make this a success, but we can't do it without you! and your work!

Cheers Mike

You can submit your artwork or poetry work here submissions@forbiddenwhispers.co.uk or to any of the address's Anna gave you. Just let us know a little about you and your work and leave the rest to us.

Question....  there's a ton of different "Fetishes" that come to my mind and I'd imagine I CAN'T even think of a bajillion other fetishes out there...  My point is are you only looking for "Latex & Rubber Fetish" that's so popular in Poserdom or what?  I personally am a former (got married, had kid) Goth with a large breasts fetish...  Does that count?  Not that my Poser "art" is quality enough but just curious about your content requirements cuz IMVHO the term "fetish" on it's own is a little vague and leaves itself open to a whole whack of stuff that may or may not be suitable for print etc....

Thanks!

good question ghelmer...i'm curiouse too about what "is" apprpiate content?

LillianaSapphire ( ) posted Sun, 24 September 2006 at 7:04 AM

I mean fetish in all aspects of the word.... anything as long as its not too adult, you know sex, sex toys stuff like that... sexual innuendos fine...

but nothing as the strap-on fetish content.....
