Most of this stuff is smart propped to either the gear or the character and contains useful morphs.

For those who don't have PayPal, it is also available from Content Paradise. This was an early render before the clothing textures were finished, but this is one supercool set.
There will be a whole lot of Vietnam related products coming in the next few days, so keep an eye out.
And Panos, those poses are superb, they work like a dream. Never been so easy to set up a character before.

here's some info on it that I found tonight...
Many of our men in Vietnam used cotton bandoleers to carry their M-16 magazines, preferring them to bulky ammo pouches on their equipment belts. Bandoleers enabled them to reload quicker and to hit the ground and crawl better, and carry less weight. One bandoleer weighed 2 ounces and carried 140 rounds in seven 20-round magazines; two ammunition pouches weighed 20 ounces and carried 120 rounds in six 20-round magazines.

Very very nice set, I'll be picking this up in the morning, Panko. I've been wanting a set like this since I first got into poser. As an ex-army G.I from 88-92 I've used all of this 'Nam era gear except the backpack and bed roll, while the new gear was phased into our units.
One minor nitpick; the M9 bayonet wasn't used during the Vietnam War. The M7 bayonet was, along with the M6. The M9 was developed in the early 80's and wasn't adopted by the US Military til the late 80's, I believe. My unit didn't even get them unti the Oct of 1990 during Desert Shield.
You can check http://www.army.mil/fact_files_site/bayonet/index.html for an image of the M7 and brief history of the bayonets in service, and http://www.m9bayonet.com/ for more detailed info on the M9's history.
Still, this is the coolest and most accurate set I've ever seen, not to mention the detail of having a sling strap on the M-16. That alone would prompt me to pick up the set ;)
Moonbiter, you are absolutely right about the historical slip on the M9 bayonet --glad you brought this up. You see, I originally intended to include a M7 --which I had already made previously and launched as a freebie for my weapons packs-- but as I was getting lots of requests from people who were asking me for a M9 that could be used as a combat knife as well as a bayonet I decided to make this one allowance to historical accuracy.
I hope I’ll be forgiven…. :)
On an upcoming Add-on I’ll take care to include M7/M6 --plus a Ka-Bar commando knife.

Ah I see, well no problems here Panko ;) I personally liked the M9 better. Heh. I likely use it for my 'Armageddon' renders, but the M7 will be nice for a historically acurate render, I envisioned when I saw this set.
My order is pending through Pay Pal, due to a mistake with using e-check rather than my debit so I'll have to wait a couple of days for it to process before getting my grubby mits on the set and those new ruins. I'm really impressed with the look and direction that items are taking over at VP.

This is a complete GI combat gear system as used in the Vietnam War. It has been designed for maximum versatility and historical accuracy. It is made to fit DAZ’s Michael 3 figure (with or without any morphs) and is compatible with most BDU available in the Poser market nowadays. Personally I will recommend the excellent uniform made for the Vietnam theme by Ed Wright to be released very soon at Vanishing Point (as pictured here)."That's another fine mess you got me in to!" -- Oliver Hardy
