Subject: Problem importing Vicky and Aiko characters into Vue 5 Infinite...

DeathWalker ( ) posted Wed, 06 September 2006 at 3:08 PM · edited Fri, 10 January 2025 at 3:36 AM

When ever I try to load Vicky 3 into Vue it loads and then I get 'system out of memory', does any one know how to deal with this?  Also I can load Aiko and not get the 'out of memory' message but the morphs don't load... HELP!?

Ok, about Vicky, the problem must be the number of huge texture maps that eat up all your memory. A workaround would be to either use lower res texture maps ( depends  on the ones you use, but Vicky comes with hi and mid res textures), or in your Vue preferences, disable background draw thread.

About your Aiko problem, did you check in your Poser preferences that morph targets are not saved to an external file? If so, change the option to keep the morph targets within the PZ3 file.

You were bang on about my problem with vicky, I tried it out and it did the trick.  As for Aiko... I couldn't seem to find any thing in Poser stating that the morph targets aren't saved to and external, let alone giving me the option to keep the targets in the PZ3.  Perhapse I need a little more info?

Ok, In Poser go to the "edit"menu, general preferences, then 4th tab called "misc", and unselect "use external binary morph targets".

Of course, I'm assuming you have Poser 6.
