Subject: Deleting items in poser runtime library

LanceB ( ) posted Thu, 07 September 2006 at 11:41 PM · edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 12:31 AM

I have a hugh bloated poser runtime library and I would like to delete a lot of items that I no longer use. If I delete a character from the library does it delete the reference to the character or does it take the geometry and texture files also. If it deletes the textures then what if another character uses the same texture? I didn't find any information on this in the manual, but then I have almost never found any answers to my questions in the manual :(

No, it only removes the .pp2 or .cr2 or whatever.

There is a (free) program around which does that, but I just can't remember the name right now. I'll keep thinking...

I remember something called P-UN, but I can't find it any more. It doesn't seem to be in freestuff, and Google insists on searching for puns. :tt2:

I found an uninstaller in rosity, but it only works if you used it to install the item initially.

This is probably the slowest way but I use P3DO explore, from senosoft, to get the file references, then I can delete the files that aren't interdependent.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Correct Reference may want to correct anything it finds. I haven't used it for a couple of years. Never got the Pro version. I just like clicking on my thumbnail and letting the tree display tell me what's associated and where it should be. I said this way was slow but has the best chance for no mistakes.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
