I did this for fun, and wanted to know if it is cute or lame. :-) Just a matter of applying textures and bump maps to basic Poser props. An ambient color setting was added to the lava to make it glow. The sky is just a bitmap screen capture (Quake 2 mod), as are the block textures. If blocks were properly UV mapped, the edges wouldn't look cruddy, but this is just a test. I think the Zygote demon looks out of place as the only not pure Doom element. I used Doom because of its' extreme simplicity (as apposed to, say Diablo 2) I used ZDoomGL for smooth, detailed textures with no pixels.

heyas; i like it! :) where's your little player guy that the demon dude is so eager to nab and devour? ;) and now all we need is robo-ram! that thing terrifies me... robo-ram and the giant spider.... ;) (well, from doom2, at least.)

I think this looks terrific!! You actually just used the primitives in Poser for this? WOW. I salute your ability to see the possibilities in even the simplest objects. It is a skill I wish I had more of!

True, the composition cries out for a player character, or else I would have posted this to the gallery. If there are any Poser fans who like Doom and wanted to do Poser characters of them, I would be in heaven, but I'm probably dreaming. I would even settle for the generic demon ("pinky") rather than hope for the magnificent Cyberdemon. I was thinking of designing some kind of player character, but it might be a little out of my league. Took all night just to set the stage. I did see a cool free helmet download that looked very Doomish. Maybe I can encourage other people to do their own favorite games scenes in Poser (Quake, Unreal) which would probably ruin everything and turn this into a gaming site - not really. :-)

I think it looks really good and it does bring back some memories wink. Liz Pope Dreamspinner Inc.

Looks much better than most of the Poser backgrounds one sees. Keep it up.
