Quote - Hi Acadia!
The only thing that comes to mind at this moment is two star crossed lovers; Helen and Paris of Troy. I'll keep thinking on this though.
Cheers!

Heh, did you just finish watching "Troy"? It was on one of the movie channels here and I tuned in. I can't pass up seeing Brad Pitt in that oh so sexy costume, LOL
The lost muse is a good idea... mine seems to have a part time job somewhere else, LOL

Pluto recently lost its status as a "planet" - I'm pretty sure it is in a rage right now.
(Stick a cartoony face on a sphere, give it a sword, and let it rampage through the solar system?)
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

What? No temple!
Some interesting ideas here! :) I'll give it some thought and see what I can come up with. Thanks so much for the suggestions :)

Hmmm... When I'm feeling creatively challenged I usually trying playing with a different figure. Sometimes animals are a little easier to do than people because the emotions aren't as complex and often you can just render as is. In addition some of the tricks that you can learn from animal studies, just as perspective, lighting, and composition can be later applied to human figures. Plus, the advantage is that you are still productive while you are trying to sort out what subject matter that you will like to take on.

I was thinking of making it a Holloween costume! On second thought I'd probably get fined.
Anyhow, since you are in a creative upswing and if you feel particularly industrious, how about lending a hand texturing some models. I plan on releasing them as freebies. You would have top billing of course.
Cheers!

Me texture?! Unless all that's involved is flood filling, I'll leave the texturing to those who have the patience for it. I tried my hand at making a texture for the V3 Morphing Fantasy Dress. I loved the part about laying out the design, but when it came to the actual texturing, I gave up after 3 weeks of working on that one dress. I couldn't get seams to match up, and the texture looked like paper without a texture to it when applied in the material room.
I have no idea what the secret behind getting your texture to actually look like fabric, but whatever it is I haven't found it in any tutorial that I've come across.

'Hollywoodland' and 'The Black Dahlia' are on the big screen. 40's starlets, gowns, deco penthouses, hard-boiled detectives, oceans of gin, dark atmosphere and a sword. Naked Vicki splashing milk on Pluto (god of the Underworld) and he is melting, melting... Ooh, the infamous 'milkburst' prop - kinky!

Look through your Poser content and create somrthing with items you've never used before. There's probably stuff you paid for that's never been used. One of my favorite renders, "Looking Around", was a result of noodling around with Poser content. It started as something to illustrate a tutorial on using Painter to paint a starfield. Originally, it was going to be a wizard doing magic at night. My first shot at that didn't inspire me, so I switched to a space scene. I can't remember why I decided on an interior instead of an exterior scene. I found a hull that I liked and it was the little box doodad on the floor that made me decide to use a child in the image because somebody had to be standing on it.
It's an example of how using something new can result in something unexpected. Play with new genres. Do an unexpected twist familiar things. When was the last time that somebody used the Sixus1 Grey Alien as an old lady?
My visual indexes of Poser
content are at http://www.sharecg.com/pf/rgagnon
I don't know...but I do have a dress (part of a complete outfit) for the grey alien in the freebies on my site.
How about a black hole of idiocy....sucking the life from everything around it....telling other people to do things that aren't their job....simply because they don't like to do them...and are lazy %(&^*%s
/glances around
Uh...you were wanting render ideas....hmmm.....I seem to have gotten off track on that one.
/will be back perhaps later...
Crazy alien chick FTW! (yeah....right....)

Got my recent idea from artwork (sombody else's). Didn't want to copy, just get ideas.
Norman Rockwell provided inspiration for my latest. Basically a simple portrait/social comment.

Time to take a break..... a long one. Stop using poser for about a year or so, don't visit any poser relelated sites and go do something completely different. Once the year is over you'll be up and top creative again and having lot's of inspiration. If not, find yourself a different hobby.
Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(
Food for thought.....

One thing I always thought would be fun for renders would be some Norman Rockwellish type of imagery poking fun at Poserdom. I have in my head a great picture of some beautiful, scantilly clad Vicky warrioresses all gathered around a computer gawking and leering at a computer generated mesh of some nerdy guy with a beer gut perched provocatively on an unmade bed in a messy dorm room.
Think "Poser Twilight Zone"!

I found my Muse! She paid me a visit the last few nights. This is what I ended up with."It is good to see ourselves as
others see us. Try as we may, we are never
able to know ourselves fully as we
are, especially the evil side of us.
This we can do only if we are not
angry with our critics but will take in good

Whenever it is that I get good enough, I want to do a couple "Reply" or "Companion" pieces for art already existing in the Gallery.
Example: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1252416
What is she seeing? Who / What is looking at her? Basically, reverse the view (from her eyeline) and answer the question(s).

Creativity doesn't hit me often these days, so when it does I need to act on it, only I can't think of an idea. Can anyone offer up some suggestions for ideas?
