Subject: Next Challenge?

Been away for a while, so I don't know about how the challenges have changed.  Do we have another one coming up or a discussion about it?  Just thought I'd ask, incase I'll be able to participate.

Going to have a little break until October, as participation has been way down. Always is during the "summer" months, but this year has been particularly so.

No problem, BTW, is there a gallery of old challenges that I can peruse through.  I found the old page where even my old entries are in, but then very little between then and now if anything.

And as posted on the challenge forum, the upload code is not working for a lot of browsers. I would think that would have to be fixed before the next challenge.

Ooops, been so busy with  house things totally spaced the challenges, but it does seem like everyone has been busy with work and other things to enter.....how about quarterly challenges? They could be more 'involved' and newer people would have plenty of time to complete one.

I like Bi-monthly the best, because it does give enough time for many people to do them, but  doesn't leave us chomping at the bit for another.

bi-monthy is good

I think every 2 months would "Up" the quality of the submissions and give people plenty of time.

My only suggestion would be to end it on the 3rd week of the second month for a week of voting(The last week.) Then declare the winner on the 1st.

And the winner get the next challenge started by selecting the theme by like the 5th or so of the month. If the winner can't come up with something we have an default list thats used.

And above all stick to whatever timeline thats chosen. Especially for the finial submission date. It is completly unfair for those that get theirs done on time to move the dates.

Yea, and not being able to upload your submission would be bad, so a fix is needed for those browsers.

Or at least and alternate way of getting it in, like E-mailing it to someone with power. :P

Don't see why not (bi-monthly), especially when we would take one of those weeks out for voting/transition. Worth a try.  :o)

Yes...browser glitches need to be fixed in the contest areas, or we'll have to resort to doing it old school, and everybody posts their entry into one thread, lol. (no thank you)

I would upload entries for people but, there is no way I can do it to have the entry reflect their name, it would always have my screenname on it.  ;o(

All your guys' ideas actually kinda fall in line with something I am setting up for the ZBrush area, coicidentally enough...;o)

I'll just plan on getting it all ready to launch for you all before Oct 1st. (July/Aug resolved and the new October/November bi-monthly Theme announced)
