Subject: Replicator fun!

Worked up as background for a possible new pic. First surface replicator run for the rocks, which are deformed spheres. Second and third runs are for the autons. It's not posable per se; I just cloned the model and tweaked it for different stock poses. Unfortunately can't replicate onto the surface of a group, so if I want them crawling over the rocks as well I'll need a new replicator assigned to each rock. Or perhaps I can export the terrain (complete with trees), and re-import as a single mesh object? Worth trying....

Cool!  Looks like oodles of origami creations littering the ground.  The mad origamiist was here! 😉

Exactly so! That's the effect I was after with this little robots. Think of them as macro-sized nannites; self-replicating, possibly solar-powered (you can see some of them spreading their "wings"), but somewhere around the size of your hand. I folded a bunch of paper while coming up with design ideas. Oh, and here's a close-up.

Oh yes!  Looks exactly like folded paper creation close up. :)

Very cool looking. Maybe create one big rock in the forground and replicate on that? Would also give a closer view of the cool robot thingies.
