Subject: Blazing over the 1MC ..Those of you that use Wardrobe Wizard, how do you like it

Darboshanski ( ) posted Tue, 19 September 2006 at 11:44 AM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 10:26 PM

I downloaded the demo and really liked what it did. How is it for converting V3 clothes down to Aiko? I have a lot of V3 items I'd like to see on A3 and a couple of A3 items I'd like to see on V3...too many damn 3's..LOL! Anyway, I'd love some opinions on the program as well as other tailor type programs. Yep, pros and cons lets have'em!

Thanks,
Micheál

Generally speaking the conversions work best going from a smaller figure to a larger due to the breast differential. Also the quality and style of clothing has a direct influence on the conversion results. Personally it's one of the most useful utilities I've bought. Once you get used to all of the features you'll find yourself using it more and more. Not only for converting:)

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

orc! orc! orc!

hey let me know what you think of the program if you do decide to purchase it, that's one i've been looking at as well.

thanks

Best thing since sliced bread.

I've used it convert v3 items to aiko, aiko items to v3, aiko items to furrette, s3 items to she-freak, aiko to aiko19, v3 to my own morph of v3, likewise for m3, and so on...

My biggest complaint is that PhilC now seems to only add the 'buzzword figure of the week' for support. I'd like it to support some form of ape other than just the third chimpanzee -> homo sapiens... and I'd like to see the Daz Troll get support so I could put him in sci fi gear or even a business suit or wizard outfit for things like Shadowrun...

But, the list of figure support is pretty good otherwise.

Watch the included tutorials on magnets and joint work, as well as PhilC's other tutorials. Make good use of them, otherwise you'll be undervaluing your purchase. Warddrobe Wizard gets you 85-99% of the way to a conversion, and you can almost always fill in the rest if you paid attention to the 'manuals (tutorials)' that came with it.

Hello.

Is it possible to transforms clothes so they can fit Blackhearted GND character (a morphed V3 variation)?

Thanks in advance.

arcady ( ) posted Tue, 19 September 2006 at 3:23 PM

I assume so. A lot of people do that regularly. Aiko19, which is very similar to GND, works fine with Wardrobe Wizard.

I use WW all the time to fit something for V3 onto a custom morph of V3, and that is all GND is.

As said above, it is the best little script writen, and it works perfectly, read the tutorials etc. and you will never have a wardrobe issue again.  Also, Phil has the best customer support going.  Sharen

Content Advisory! This message contains violence

I use it very often. A picture is worth a thousand words so, here are a few examples of outfits that I've converted from one figure to another using Wardrobe Wizard,  from my gallery (sorry, I had to set the violence flag because of the nature of the images):

In Don't Ask Alice I used Wardrobe Wizard to convert the ISOP Alice Dress from P4 Female to a morphed Aiko. In Miss Muffet's Bad Day I converted Miss Muffet's entire outfit from head to foot from P4Female to morphed Aiko. Finally, in Peter Peter Pumkin Eater I converted DAZ's CygnusX:Sci-Pirate outfit from Stephanie 3 Petite to a morphed Michael 3. I also converted the apron Peter is wearing from P4Male to Michael 3. Wardrobe Wizard did most of the work, but there were still a few tweeks I had to do with scaling or in postwork, but I would have never gotten the images done without it. Of all the programs and plugins I've ever purchased over the years, Wardrobe Wizard is by far the most valuable tool in my graphics arsenal. It's easy to use, robust, stable, and while it won't do 100% of the work for you, IMHO it does it better than any other program!

It's all fun and games...

I have had no luck getting this to work with satisfactory results, but seeing so many having good results, guess I'll have to give it another shot (for the 100th time) :-(

Shut that damned thing up already! lol (I somehow always got stuck with a rack nearest the 1MC)
That along with being in berthing  under the wires on a carrier and trying to sleep during flight ops 8o

Oh and I have WW but I havent used it much yet.

theodote ( ) posted Fri, 22 September 2006 at 1:17 AM

Buy it. I successfully converted an outfit for Rosey Cheeks Lina to Mikki. Including hair. Talk about a stretch!

I think it's one of the best purchases I made. But you really need to watch the tut and take notes for the best effect.

One of the things I like is that it makes it really easy to fit clothes to a morph'd character.

Here's a render I did using a dress  (Marako from DAZ's last sale) converted from Aiko to a V3 character.

Wardrobe Wizard is one of the best things I've ever bought for Poser. It's so versatile, you can do all sorts of odd-beat conversions with it.

I bought the program lastnight and have received my registration info. I plan installing it sometime today. Heh I just noticed what time it was here in the states just now 0730 feels like have the day is gone already. But of course I'm up at 0430 (not bad for an old man) each morning so it feels like the middle of the day to me.

Sorry dasquid we'll shutdown the 1MC and hide all  the sound powered phones and use runners between stations so you can get some more rack time!...LOL!!
Wow I'm really dating myself SPs are being replaced by HYDRA/EDACS now days (among other things). Hell, I've been replaced as well.

There is an old discussion about WW from when it first came out.  It will give you an idea of what it can do.

It's the best investment I've ever made where poser is concerned. I use it every single time I'm inside Poser and absolutely can't imagine every going back to using poser without it!

Sealtm2, You made a good decision to purchase. The only con is the way it handles foot wear, unusual long sleeves, like RDNA's Morphing Gown. Some outfits may require using certain parts as props. Outside of those minor annoyances WW is a pretty danr good utility.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

Yup got the thing in. Now I just haven't had time to play with it. ROFL!

I've heard of problems some folks had with a few garments, but WW has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it with minimal fuss.

And some unexpected results, like when one inadvertantly conforms the M3 mesh to the Girl by mistake . . . ;-]
