Subject: glowing material

Hi all- Just created a ring shape object and gave it a "Cigar Tip" material from the Glowing Material section and when rendered inside an enclosure object/model( lower level of a building)it renders fine and glows as expected. Then created another ring shape object and assigned the same thing to it and moved it to the upper floor. When it renders, all is fine except there is no glow on the second ring object. When I moved the ring object out of the cube, it renders with the glow , but when I moved it inside again and tried rendering, no glow. What could be the problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated. If you could post an image of the render it might help us to better understand the issue .

Make sure the "glow behind objects" is checked in the Effects menu. You might try increasing the radius of the glow as well.
