I see people are posting flower pics again, good stuff :-) If I have posted this in the Forum before then I apologize..but as far as I can remember, I haven't. I posted these straight to the gallery after posting a few others in the forum, and I must say I was disappointed when I didn't get more than 8 hits in a week. I did these photos in a stinking hot fernery a Wednesday afternoon, just to get my mind off other things. Hope you'll like. I made a point of only taking a couple of photos of each flower that interested me (otherwise I would have been there all day) and a few turned out how I wanted.... And my rant is - how come nobody really looks in the gallery anymore? Are we supposed to post everything in here before posting in the gallery? Well - things might have changed since last time I posted but I guess one of the reasons why I haven't been so keen lately is because of this. Hmm but then again it might be just me. :-)

And here is another one.... this one called Corrugated Iron...because that is what it reminds me of!

Wow what a fast reply, Syyd. A fernery - er - well a place where they grow ferns..and flowers of all kinds. I wouldn't have a clue what kind of flower that was, it's not an ordinary pansy...well if people like them I'll keep reposting...got heaps.... (And I browse the gallery on a daily basis myself - just seems to me like the trend is, post here first, see what people think, then to the gallery later.)

Nice flowers.... I personally have both the gallery and the forum in my favourites (<<- note the proper spelling LOL). I like to post in the gallery, but like yourself get a bit down from the number of hits and the lack of willingness of people to comment on them there. At least in the forum when we post a picture we get not only a comment but a nice bit of debate about the pictures - I can NEVER remember seeing lengthy comments in the gallery going into great detail on technical aspects of a pitcure as we do here. Personally, I like the forum the way it is - lately we've had a good combination of debate / pictures.

Thanks, guys. I do like the Forum, don't get me wrong there :-) It just seems to me like the gallery is becoming less and less popular - and that in some ways it is not taken too seriously by users from other parts of renderosity. As in, people post photos they want to share with their friends (from say the Poser gallery/forums) in the Photography gallery and use it that way. Not that there really is anything wrong with that, but it appears that a lot of users fail to recognize it as an artistic gallery. I guess this is something we've known for a long time, and I'm just stating the obvious here, but...well, the times I post stuff in the gallery, most of the comments I get are from people I know from elsewhere, the ones who introduced me to Renderosity, who really don't do any photography or anything like that. But I still appreciate their comments, of course. Mmmmm exactly what point am I trying to make here? I'm not accusing anyone of being neglectful of the gallery, and I know lately I haven't been too active there myself. I do look at everything that is uploaded..but for some reason I find it so hard to find the right words to post as comments...but I always have that problem, which is probably why I keep quiet a lot. Aaaaaaaaaanyway I just about forgot what I was gonna say in the first place (dammit why does that always happen to me?) but yeah, the greenhouse was more than 100F...(even though I prefer to use Celsius as the weird Scandinavian I am)..It was over 40c with 90-something % humidity. HOT! I'm running out of words here...mmmmm....sleepy time methinks... bounce bounce bounce But - thanks for the comments, people. I'll keep shooting.. ~M~

well, call me weird but I see a whole mountain range of tiny purple flowers and a valley with a cool lake reflecting the sunlight in your Purple Velvet Flower. The only thing that throws it for me is no sky. I really love it! :) Such depth and softness ...
