I'm trying to think of who made a series of renders of  the wonders of the ancient world, including the tower of babel. I think it was Bill Munn. I will google it, and come back here if I find it. :)

but as far as I know, the tower of babel was a zigurat (a pyramide). If you google mesapotamia and zigurat, you might find what you are looking for. Good luck. Let me know if I can help you further.

Maybe a modeling program might be in order. Here's one I use, and I suppose you could make tall towers with it (heck, we've even done Escher, and if you can do that, you can do anything). Plus you get to see your own ideas take shape.
