Subject: Seeing the Forest for the trees

Okay,

Trees, Trees, Trees...

Does anyone know of any realistic looking trees that I can use for close up-renders (ex road-side)?

Are the trees on RDNA good, what about  ETDA's stuff?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Yes, the RDNA flora/fawna stuff are excellent.  Also Daz has some nice looking plant life too.

Why oh why do people keep recommending Turbosquid?

The average tree there is $50, and they are rubbish. The tree in the picture is $100, and is untextured, and is not in Poser format.

Why not recommend good stuff, like XFrog, if we are going to recommend non-Poser format objects.

Yes The trees from RDNA are very good.I also bought recently Paleman _treepack 2 and 3 at 3dcommune there are nice too with some morphs. But if you really want use trees it would be better  to use Vue d'esprit with its ecosystem. In Poser the memory limit the use of 3d trees

Thanks everyone for their advice and thoughts. I got a "real deal" tree, along with some flowers and grass from RDNA, and started trying them out, and they are exactly what I am looking for.

Most of the $2.50-$5.00 products by Traveler are excellent value. The Morphing Grassy Outcropping  prop   are very usefull for fantasy art. The attached picture took less than 30 minutes to make and render. Also recommended are some of the other cheapies like the Modualz Pampas Grass.

Pinky - you left the lens cap of your mind on again.
