If there were any that you really like from past challenges..please feel free to add them..

Night/evening city scapes

Typical seasonal weather where ever you are.

Macro shots or Gothica.

A photo inspired by a favorite song title or lyric

simple, but water can be an interesting subject

again, simple, but can be an interesting subject

"Repeat"

Kind of along the lines of abstract, but things with repeating patterns

perceived or otherwise...

what about florals  I like Pats suggestion for Low light too

Great suggestions..Keep them coming..I'd like to compile a list, so we have "suggestions" to choose from..

I know it's sometimes a dodgy subject, but how about Religion?  It's one thing that no matter where in the world it is it gets a lot of time and money spent on it, and consequently has beautiful things to photograph. (I would have suggested Politics, but that can be included when someone suggests 'clowns' or 'circus' lol)

I'd also like to suggest 'Airborne' and 'Water Lover'. To hell with it, 'Earth' and 'Wind' too. lol.

All great ideas...Remember this is for the Photgraphers Choice Challenge..as opposed to the genre Challenge..The Genre Challenge we have the genre choices in place..(like gothic and macro)..

Now this is just my opinion..But for the Photgraphers Choice...I'd like to see subjects..that are more like ideas, thought,concepts..

certainly subjects like low light are excellent ideas..

Marlene posted on in another thread about Movie Posters..excellent idea..The CD cover challenge in the past was very popular and worked out quite well.

Emotions would be a good subject..

Politics and Religion are great subject, and leave a lot of room for expression..We would of course have to set some guidelines, like no bashing of a religion...I think political parody would be fine also.. I guess I'm saying, controversial subject matter is fine..But, this is an international website, so we do have to keep that in mind..Nation or race bashing wouldn't be alowed.

I think you can understand my point..

Try to think outside the box and come up with some interesting ideas..

How about  something that "tickles your funnybone" and what "brings you to tears"  these would be some challenges that incorporate emotions with the visual image.

1: "Things that make you go hmmm"

2: Something childish.

3: To feel young again!

How about: "small (against a big world)" "lost" "sense of power" "minimal" "going back" "born again" "together" "outlook" "long nights" "short days" "soul food" "burn" "opposites attract" "take it easy" "one for the road" "..."

Yikes! So many great ideas!  I will support for this coming month the WALLS suggested by inshaala.   Why? Walls real or perceived are a true creative challenge.

Walls  may be foundations, supporting, barrier or protection...on and on...and perceived ones will take an image that really "speaks" to the viewer to see the meaning.   I will go for walls on this one.

I can add no new ideas..most are covered already.  And, I have no walls yet thought of.   Tom.

All sound good, I am a person who is just  " follow the red arrow sign "! Yes, wall would be  cool, as Tom said it is a meaning or story behind some walls. I have to stay out of religion if will be voted...sorry!

here is another one, which is probably a bit weak but maybe one to think about: i was thinking about the sketch from not the nine oclock news with rowan atkinson where he is talking about nelson's column and st pauls as being a giant phallus and breast - respectively.  What about something which can be percieved as an innuendo, something which resembles sexual objects or the act of sex.  Two watermelons for example...

We are all adult here right? ;)

Not my place to say it, but I think that would brush the R.R law... we might grown ups but some of us here on Rendo  would take advantage of the  " open door " !  Not You guys/girls, those whose just wactching in silence waiting for an opportunity!  oppps was I too dare to say these world...my appology!

it's something that anyone can do by directing strong sunlight or with the use of artificial lighting...

Things that didn't quite work out, went splat, or just brainfade!
Preferably not posed or contrived, I would prefer those funny/awe inspiring/gob smaking gems that just 'happen' in the click of a shutter. Animals, people, work, play etc.
 All in the name of fun or WOW! Not to hurt or embarrass friends though!
