Subject: Cannot login with IE 6

kawecki ( ) posted Tue, 26 September 2006 at 4:35 AM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 5:12 AM

There's no way to login using Internet Explorer 6.0, any time I click in "Login" it appears:

"The page cannot be displayed"

I managed to login clicking in the right side "Member Photo  Album" where it appeared the login screen, even so I am able to access only some features available at the right side, any item from the menu above or gives me "page not found" or I appear as "visitor".
There's no way to access the forums, I using Firefox in this moment.
I have deleted all the cookies and cleaned the cache, now after managed to partialy login, if I open IE typing www.renderosity.com I get to the main page as "visitor", if I type camelot.renderosity.com I get to the main page as "kawecki", even so I only can access some parts of the site, no way to forums!
With Firefox and Mozilla is working properly, but many times is very slow, "waiting for  rww.renderosity.com" or "tranferring data from www.renderosity.com" takes a very long time and sometimes I noted something as "waiting for xx.googlesyndicate.xxx????" what is that that doesn't respond?!!!!

Stupidity also evolves!

Kawecki, I'm using IE6 also and am currently not having these problems here, problems elsewhere yes, [lol] but not here!

If you find what it is let me know in case it's the same with mine on another site!

Injustice will be avenged.

my IE6 started to hang(get stuck) all the time, so i upgraded to IE7(beta) which is now "IE7 release candidate"  no probs with getting in here, except that you have to refresh every time you re-visit a page or re-edit a post!! with IE7.

Hello Vince3,
Have a look in IE7 atTools/InternetOptions/General , then click 'BrowsingHistory' Settings button.  Look at 'Check for newer versions of stored pages'. Mine is set to AUTOMATIC.
