I get bruises similar to that when I ride my horses hard, I bruise easily. I also ride a unicycle (don't ask!) and I will get bruises a little closer to the goods, if you know what I am saying. Maybe I just need a new seat LOL.

I fail to understand the objections raised so far in this forum.

Apart from the various pathetic and revolting avatars,

Is someones problem that the product for sale COULD be used to depict women having had violence perpetrated against them in a sexual manner? Or is that women have been depicted in the promo in a generally disfigured way?

If it is the first, well perhaps there should be NO items for sale at DAZ or renderosity or any site, cause just V3 COULD be used to depict women with violence perpetrated against them in a sexual manner.

If it is the second. Well as the song goes "only women bleed". And yes, when you cut throught the surface layers of flesh, there is blood and guts and fatty stuff and all kinds of gore. Apparently women and men are mortal creatures, and fragile ones at that. Having had to cut both women and men on numerous occaisions, I've looked inside, and there are all the same underneath.

So if you wanted to depict the injuries sustained by people after lets say: A roadside bomb expolosion in Iraq, well you would use that texture set.

No, it's really a "political" kind of issue with someone. They don't like the way things changed here over the years. The person that started this seems to be objecting to the fact that the site stopped allowing "porn" or political discussions, but they'll allow "racey" images of battered women. It's a way of "rubbing Renderosity PTB's nose in it so to speak.

It's all fun and games...

You've completely missed the point.

One thing for sure, professional this is not.

I think that was the onset question.

Answered.

Basically, MikeJ, if they had been shots of, say, a shirtless warrior with a dead critter beside him/her - bruises and gashes - you'd have no problem with them? That would make sense.

Looking at some of the images I can see where you're going where it can be interpreted as BDSM for the likes of Renderotica. I understand, and even kinda side with, your issues with the presentation. I also see and understand Estherau's point entirely, and where she's coming from.

When driving down a long road with few exits, if your car is low on gas, you'll be seeing and reading pretty much only gas station signs - if you're hungry, you'll pretty much only pay attention to the fast-food and restaraunt signs - Estherau was seeing a solution to her battle scenes. That's what I got from her responses - she wasn't paying attention to the clothing and poses at ALL, she saw the gashes, bruises and scars and thought, "I can use those!"

I think the only thing Zew3D is guilty of could be bad judgement in representing his/her product within the somewhat "family-friendly" atmo Rendo is apparently trying to portray. But if the Admins don't have a problem with it as is... It's borderline, but I've seen worse.

That's all he was saying. It wasn't the product, but its presentation in an overtly sexual manner.
