Subject: Poser morph back integrated into a model.

Hi.

I need help with a problem regarding Poser Morphs.

I have a Poser 5 morph pack (Pose) for vicky 3 which I want to add to the Figure and then export it. Along with the body morphs I also added some facial morphs to the figure.
Now I want to save the model with all the body morphs integrated into the model and keep the facial morphs for later face-animation.
Can this be done ?

Please help me.

RR.

You can save the figure to your Poser library, and it should keep the loaded morphs.

Exporting...what are you exporting it to?  You will lose all the morphs if you export it as an OBJ.

thanks Randym77 for your answer.

I believe I've tried that and the problem is that this preserves the morph targets in the model. What i need is to make basically a new model with the modifications the morphs do. So if the model is loaded again no morphs is in the model But I get the new look from the morph pack.

Well, I want to save it as a pz3 file, load it into daz studio and from there export it to FBX. FBX can include morph targets and UV mapping. The FBX can then be imported into MAX and animated.

Am i making any sence :) it a little hard to explain.

Why?  Is it just a memory issue?  You can combine all the morphs you used into a single morph, if that would help.

If FBX can include morph targets, why not just leave them in?

BTW,  you might have better luck if you ask this over at DAZ.

besides all the morphs in the model i really don't need in max, the import into max crashes with a Out of memory error.

Yes, your suggestion might be the way to go. How do I collect all morphs into one single morph ?

svdl has a Python script in free stuff called SpawnCharacter.  It combines all the morphs you used to create a character into one, and makes INJ and REM files for the new morph.

It's for Poser 6 only, though.

You can also do it by hand.  Basically, you export each body part as a morph target. Look for tutorials on making full body morphs.  There's one here:

you have to create a new bone setup in max too right?
