You know it might be nice to have a forum set aside for just this sort of purpose - attracting attention to gallery pieces and discussing them.

I can see something like that being abused. People would use it as a place to advertise all of their gallery uploads in order to generate views and comments.
I can see that being a viable idea if the images posted were in the thread and not the gallery which is IMHO a place to put finished work for viewing.

Dear friends, sorry for the delay in reply, but as I posted this thread late Friday afternoon Israel time, my religion restrained my from posting any comments until the Jewish Sabbath ended after sundown on Saturday night. So now here is the following: ** lemur01**, thank you very much for your kind and constructive criticism. I will do my best to implement it in the future. Also, if I have managed to inspire you to creative endeavors, then so much the better.Acadia, thank you for making my image links clickable, but I do wish that you had follwed the original rquest of this thread and posted a few critical comments of your owm.
arcady, interesting thought, but ditto my above remarks to Acadia.
There are other images in my gallery that could use some comments, if any of you'd care to click on the link above.

I would never presume to criticize an image in the gallery. To me a gallery is a place to showcase a finished piece and if the artist was happy enough with their image to upload it to their gallery, that's all that matters: it doesn't matter what I "would have done". Art isn't about pleasing me, it's about pleasing the artist who created the piece.
