Subject: GRAMPS..

hey guys i would like to know if any of you can help me to get my hand on GRAMPS the cartoon character from poser 6. I lost my copy of poser 6 but i need gramps and his poses to finish my work. i am using him on D/S. So please if anybody can help i will appreciate it.. thanks

Unfortunately no one can help you with that.

However, if you contact e-Frontier and explain your situation and provide them with the information they need to locate your purchase, then you should be able to reacquire a copy of Poser 6 and the serial number from them.

thanks acadia... but the copy i had it wasnt mine.. somebody gave me a copy..  thanks though, i will probably end up buying a copy

well, I don't have gramps either (nobody gave me a copy :crying: ) but I have an alternate request. can somebody graft miki's head onto the zygote or daz chimp and post the resulting image in the "mix 'em up and show 'em off" thread? :lol:

Yeah, he was part of the Pro pack, but also included in 5 and 6.

oops! LD was right - I do have gramps, buried in one of those folders. never used it, tho. not much to look at IMVHO.

you guys are the best...miss nancy gramps is my favortie guy.. i have been using him for this webstie http://www.louiespizzeria.net but now i want to make some changes and i dont have him anymore... i am going to buy poser 5... 20 bucks why not..

how come when i had poser 6 i could use gramps in DAZstudio but now that i have poser 5 i cant use any of the figures in DAZSTUDIO..

You should be able to by adding your poser 5 runtime to D|S's content thing (I forgot exactly how to do it now).

Start a new thread called:

Help using Poser 5 content in Daz|Studio

That will get you more responses than a thread called "Gramps".

Most likely the Poser 5 figures are installed as compressed files, CRZ's instead of CR2. While Poser 5 and 6 can read those just fine, DS can't.

Easily remedied though. In the Python folder there's a pythonscript to decompress all files.

Or you could open gramps and resave him while making sure the Use Compression in Options is NOT checked.
