Subject: Making rocks???

I want to create a few rocks and boulders for a scene I'm working on.  Does anyone have a tutorial or know of a good rock making tutorial?  TIA, -Starkdog

Wow, where to begin...

There use to be a few decent rock generator scripts. Many have gone the way of the Dodo.

Or you could use Poser's displacement feature on a sphere (with a noise map)

Of course, there's Bryce 5.5! It has a built-in rock gen.

depending on the shape, you can model one in Wings 3d. There's another program, called Topmod, that can make some very unusual shapes. Both are free. Wings has a forum here, if you need help. Topmod, well, I'm struggling with it.

Vue will also kick out rocks aplunty that Poser can use :)

if you have any version of shade ( le came with poser 6) there is a rock genorator included in the shade package... it is called magical sketch :) seriously though it makes nice rocks.
