Thanks jc! Your "Art Head Start" e-book has been indispensible for me. I recommend it to everyone. :)
All the freebies/hints/tips and links at your site are very much appreciated too.
The function editor can be especially daunting. Thanks for shedding some light on this, for me, PITA at times, part of Vue, lol.

Hi All!
I now have downloadable ZIP file versions of the 2 Vue Function Editor videos.
Also added some marketing features (same tutorials though). Now i can get back to creating the next tutorials. May be using these in a future product, and they are copyrighted, so for personal use and no distribution to others please!

Enjoy!
Thanks! Downloading now.
BTW, I just got a copy of Adobe Captivate 2. Is is used to make demos / training material. Use it for work, but might use it to make some Vue training too. I'm thinking of converting my render setting tutorial into a video. That would be a good way for me to learn the software before having to use it on my company's software (and if you think Vue is hard to use - try documenting setting up Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers to measure river discharge).

Yeah the fish hear us, but must not bother them as they like to stay next to our equipment. One system we made could even tell what type of fish were schooling around the transducer. Cool stuff, but not easy to explain.
I had a choice between Camtasia Studio and Captivate. So far I am happy with Captivate - you can choose between recording video (it gets everything like a movie) or it can create a slide every time you click something. The nice part is it automatically enters all the text blocks for you. If you click File, properties, it recorders the mouse movement, adds the "click the File menu", and then another text box for "click Properties". Since a lot of our software has very long menu structures, that feature alone made me choose Captivate... The only problem is with audio - I have chronic asthma. I cough all the time. No way can I record anything.

Great Avatar, inspector!
Yep Bruno really knows his stuff. And i learn a lot from him.
No need for a competition of course. I expect everyone contributes what they can, when they can. Because i work for myself at home and enjoy 3D more than doing my usual billable client work, i have the luxury of posting often.

Sorry if you already saw this below.
I noticed comments on the lack of Vue Function Editor tutorials. I'm not super expert in that editor, but know enough to get you started. So, here they are (from Vue 5 Infinite):
http://www.art-head-start.com/free-stuff.html
'Vue Function Editor Basics 1': Intro, jargon, the GUI, using a math function to make a simple material for a sphere, how some function nodes won't work with others.
'Vue Function Editor Basics 2': Review, Inputs and Outputs, 'Black Boxes', why some Nodes won't play nicely together and how to get them to behave, flavors of Node Values, adding a Combiner Node to add your effects together, intro to Noise Nodes.
Please refer to your Vue manual to explore all the noise and other node types available and how they look. Many are available in larger color images at 'The Vue Function Project':

Also please let me know how i can improve these. Hoping to provide downloadable versions soon (they are very big though!). So far, streaming from my web site only.
Enjoy!
