Subject: Has anyone else gotten the update for Paradise Hair?

I bought it back 2 years ago and noticed on my account that there was an update available where morphs were added to fit Aiko, Jessie, etc. I downloaded the, or what I thought was, the update only to find that the content is exactly like the download I had 2 years ago. Has anyone else gotten the update? Am I missing something a step?

Yea! I got the update and it had a shed load of other colours and settings to the original one I bought.

i got a note for the update a long time ago hon...i didn't really bother updating it since i don't use or purchase hair anymore but yes i do remember getting a notice of the update.

I don't know about you guys, but I couldn't get the update to work in P6.  As with her texture set for Grace Lion Hair, 3Dream's MAT settings are off and the hair renders all white. There is a work-around, but since I'm happy with the original textures I got rid of the update and stuck with the original Paradise set.

Yeah, the work around is right there in the textures. A MAT file that changes the shadows. He writes about it in the info on the Paradise Product page. I totally recommend the update, the colors and hair are MUCH better. :-)

This is all that needed to be done. See...I told you I skipped something...LOL!!

Important: To install the updates, please uninstall all the files that belong to the old version, and only after that, install the new version. Also, if you have multiple runtimes, please install the new version in all of them. This way the installation will be totally successful.

Paradise Hair

  • The Hair Prop (Universal) includes 11 new morphs to fit Paradise Hair in: Aiko 3, Aiko 3 Realistic, Girl, Jessi P6, Koshini 2, Laura 3, Maddie 3, Miki, Millennium Baby 3, Stephanie Petite 3, Terai Yuki 2.
  • There are 18 material zones (OBJ reworked).
  • All textures have been reworked.
  • NOTE: If, in any case, you get strange renders with MAT Shadows OFF colors, please select the MAT Shadows ON colors (Normal Shadows).

You will see the hair prop (Paradise Hair) in the following directory:
