Subject: Instant forest - just add render time!

Create a tree, random replicate, and voila!  Instant forest.  Add in HDRI and you've got serious render times, but it might make a good background.

They still haven't fixed the weird lumps in the tree trunks?  (looks like the strange transparency problems are gone, though...)

Yep, trees interfering with each other has been fixed, but render times with lots of trees are still a killer.  Image planes are the way to go, I think.

I miss the way VistaPro 4.0 works in putting in a forest. I was hoping Bryce would have had an altitude treeline/snow feature with mixed trees types. Render times increase with any 3D type of tree in any package, but VPro handled it fast. Wishlist for B7 maybe? 😄
