Hello Terra..
Answering your questions, since you used SpyderII Suite.. You don't need the adobe gamma any more.. In fact even tho you didn't use any other program.. You still don't need it.. Since you can run it any time from your control panel, after the wizard is done and you saved your new profile.. That profile will be loaded in the startup anyway and without any processes in the task manager..
So you can delete it for ever, and if you want it back for any reason, no problems.. Just open your adobe installation folder and locate your adobe gamma blue monitor icon, right click on it and then send to ~~> desktop. But that it will create you the same short cut you deleted you can simple drag it to your start buttom on the task bar and from there to your programs ~> startup. Sigh! :)
Thank you and regards
JOE

Here's my question: I just purchased an Epson R2400 printer. I used Spyder2 Suite to calibrate my LCD monitor. It worked great, no problems. The instructions told me to remove the shortcut for Adobe Gamma out of the startup directory to properly calibrate my monitor, which I did by temporarily moving it to the Recycle Bin, then I re-booted. Now that my monitor is calibrated and I'm ready to install the R2400, do I restore the Adobe Gamma shortcut, or do I remove it permanently from Startup? Is Adobe Gamma necessary for me to properly use CS2 for printing to the R2400? As near as I can tell, it's (Gamma) used for monitor calibration and nothing else.
Thanks for your help in this.
Regards,
Steve
