I agree with aangus, it begged to be made into a painting. So I straightened the horizon line, cloned out distracting elements, adjusted the colors, played with the levels a bit and applied a strong noise filter to smooth it all out a bit. Nice image to work from! :)

*(click to view full size)* Another nice one, okay, I did another, this time working from my other version but flipping and applying various PS filters to get a painterly look, then adding a mat. I am suprised how much like a real painting it looks actually. :)

Gosh, Kort, I really need to start writing down some of these steps, got CRS, you know!

I used wand mask on boat and person, then fill flash to bring them out of dark. Then I upped contrast and brightness and put into color variations to get a deeper blue. Then I diffuse glow lightly and added noise and slight blur. I think that's it, but like I said, I really should be writing things down. Actually the Ditis are a good thing for me just for that reason, I come out with some good results and need to remember those steps to use on other pics!
