THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT - What ever happened to FWTempest?

Attached Link: my un-updated website

I remember the dude... used to win monthly challenges left and right... excellent  lighting, composition, modelling...

No, but seriously... to those that remember me (should be many... c'mon it's only been 18 months... and I recognize a lot of screen names around here).... I think I'm back.  On an archaic dial-up connection, but back nonetheless.  Still trying to get the hang of the new forum and such .  Bryce 6?  Carrara 5?.... and DAZ has got 'em both now???  Sometime in the past year and a half, the world turned completely upside-down.   Sometimes ignorance is bliss, no?

For those that remember my little Bryce project... Elijah Bryce ( and, yes, we call him Bryce, though the name was actually a collaboration and bears no relationship to the program we all know and love... Cher had already taken Elijah Blue and I wanted my boy to have my initials.) turned 2 last July... and is wearing 5yo clothes!!... I never could keep the poly count low.... No uploads or updates at the present time, until I can get my PC moved to my new location.  Haven't even been able to update my website in the same interval.... but I have noticed that my freestuff is still getting hits.  Cool.

Anyhoot.  Just wanted to pop in and say 'HI' and let the few of you that cared know that I hadn't fallen off of the face of the earth entirely.   More to come... ;)

P.S.  Good to see AgentSmith and Zhann are still keeping an eye on you guys... At least some things haven't changed too drastically around these parts.  :o)

Wow, starting to feel like I was on the crest of the wave of a lot of ole timey types returning... I don't think many had come back before I did last month or so.

Welcome back FW... I look forward to your challenge compositions slaughtering mine again.... maybe... ;c)

I wonder what happened to you Cardinal FWTempest. I know that Cardinals TheBryster and Fang have missed you as they try to purge the Bryce Forum of heretics like me, heh, heh. Luckily I've escaped their "Spanish Inquisition' and am locked in a mighty struggle with Cardinal TheBryster in a "Duel of the Apps". Belated congratulations on your collaboration with your wife.

Bryster... didn't you used to be British?

Thanks for the 'welcome back' folks...  and, yes, I'll certainly be hanging around more often (again) now that I realize how hopelessly out of touch with the rest of the world (well... 3d world) without internet access.  Now to try to wrap my brain around this new site and all of its intricacies....

Another one returns from the long ago - what ? did someone publish my time machine plans? and where did you come up with Zarthium for the powersource?

BTW: In my opinion Mars is a nice place to be 'from' .

Hello! I wondered what had happened to you. So glad to know that you are alive and well. Wow, two years old. Thats awesome, such a fun age.

I've officially left this site because I can't stand the layout of the new forum, but I still come in and peek around. Nice to see you here again.

Hugs,

Ang

Ang,
I understand completely... have read at least one 'bitching' thread (started by you, I think) about the new site coding, etc... trying to get caught up on things myself... and, so far, I've got pretty much the same gripes... I'm on a slow dial-up connection, and things keep freezing on me during the page loads.... sometimes only a few seconds... sometimes long enough I just shut things down and start all over again... just another reason us old-timers continuously annoy the young folk by bitching about missing the 'good old days'.... whether here or in the real world....

yep... two years...  did you say 'fun'???... I never expected to have a kid going through their 'terrible twos' who was the size of a 4 year old.... makes it that much more fun.  😉

glad you dropped by, though.... you were one of the ones I was hoping to hear from.   Thanks again, everyone, for the warm welcome back.

I use Netscape 8.1.2 and having it in Firefox mode it would freeze up with the forums. I switched it to IE mode and haven't had it freeze yet.

Incarnadine ( ) posted Sun, 29 October 2006 at 9:10 AM

My mozilla just wouldn't work here, firefox 1.5 and subsequent works flawlessly for me.
