Just been over to Cornucopia and the stuff there now is saying it's compatible with the Vue 6 range so when the hell is it coming out??

I can't even pre-order can I?? If you know different let me know!

I want Poser7 also but I want this first, anyone know what is going on???

soon. (I don't know anymore than you), but they haven't said the october release date is wrong so they must be on target one would think. Go and preorder poser 7 - then you'll get the extras. You know you want it. And if it's not compatible with vue you can still use your poser 6. Love esther

Esther, thanx for the reply, I hadn't heard of an October release [lol].

I pre-ordered P6 and got hit with all the memory crap that came with it so I'm waiting this time, I'm not particularly interested in the extra content because I'll still probably use V3 and M3 more than the new P7 figures, yea I know boring! [lo], but I have so much stuff for them!

Now if P7 suddenly says it has Volumetric lighting as good as V5I then I would jump immediately [lol], Yes that's me; Fickle [rofl].

IMHO Vue's lighting is far superior to P6 but sucks a bit at full P6 import so I'm hoping Vue6 will sort that, I've heard it does which is why I want it yesterday! [lol].

But I think poser 7 weill be faster and easier to use. For example you can just duplicate figures. More reasons to follow from EF, so I'm told. Love esther

Esther, does that mean that if I have a fully clothe V3 for example, I can just do a like copy and paste sort of thing, like I can with Vue already! If so that "IS" something I have asked for in the past as well as the improved lighting!

You're tempting me you naughty girl!!

Don't know about the lighting, but yes, they say you will just be able to duplicate a figure in a scene. So you could duplicate a whole set of vickies in uniform and make a class in school I should think, and I think it will support more figures in a scene. They say they've reworked this new version extensively compared with 6, Go on preorder. You'll get a casino too. It'll be fun. Love esther

As far as I know, e-on have not said anything about releasing Vue 6 in October. They hope to start a pre-release in October. I believe that this will be nothing more than taking pre-orders. No actual release date has yet been set.

There are some rumours that P7 and Vue6 will be released at the same time and that e-on and e-frontier have been working closely together, but these are only rumours

(P7 is still some weeks away from release)

Well, e-on and e-frontier worked together for Vue 5 and Poser 6.  I'm betting that they are working hard right now making sure that they work together for Vue 6 and Poser 7.  Waiting is sooo hard.  Would much rather be a beta tester and helping rather then just sitting around waiting.

Pre-release might mean a scheme similar to how Newtek released LW, they let people who had already paid for it download the latest release candidate, so they could get to grips with it prior to the final release. Only minor bugs and optimisations would be the difference, all the GUI and general workflow would be finalised.

According to the e-on site:

http://www.e-onsoftware.com/products/vue/vue_6/?page=3

"Note: Our top priority is to deliver a rock-solid Vue 6, which is why we have decided to postpone release slightly. We plan to pre-release Vue 6 Infinite and xStream during the month of October, 2006."

So I ask, when?

attileus ( ) posted Sun, 29 October 2006 at 7:39 AM

I wonder what happened to Vue 6...if they want to make it "rock solid" then we may wait YEARS for the release...and the users may still find bugs since we are the best testers when we tweak the software in unimaginable ways...so release it NOW - we can wait for some fixing patches. :-)

Well they're fast running out of October!!!
