Hello all,

I was wondering if someone could point to a tutorial to get a really nice skin render and possibly some lighting help.  I looked in the tutorials here and at Daz but have not found anything yet.

difficulties I am having are as follows:

1:  Spot lighting and trying to lock a light to highlight a face in a  crouching pose.

2:  Suggested settings to really pop an image to add lush color tones to it.

Just about any advise or tutorials would be a godsend the doc's dont seem all that suggestive other than "here it is, heres how you import" and the like.

well dinamo, after pointing the light try adjusting the ""softness" of the cone by going into the light editor. Just select your light and click on the small E. This works different from a normal radial light by giving a nice soft edge.

If you dont want the objects surrounding the scene affected by this then try choosing "ranged" and a setting of 15. Its then easier to just move the light closer to your object and control the amount of light its receiving.

As for color you could add another light close by to the face and change the color to red/pink too give you a more relaxed tone.

:)

"Pop" and lush color can be achieved in postwork by raising the contrast and color saturation.

Thanks for the advice!  Both have been noted and applied with super swiftness!
