Subject: GIF animation for website: NEED ADVICE

MINTY1974 ( ) posted Wed, 01 November 2006 at 11:55 AM · edited Fri, 22 November 2024 at 8:11 PM

Hi all, I really need to create an animation of some images fading in and out of each other continuously looping for use on a website homepage. I really would like to know of any FREE bits of software available for download that will do the job. Any advice would be great. Cheers. Minty.

Yves Piguet's GifBuilder will do dissolves et al. and it's free. Mac OS; but I reckon there's some similar software for XP.

Thanks for the reply Miss Nancy. I have realised that I have relevant software to accomplish this. Thanks again. Minty.

if you want more sophisticated animation fx you might want to grab a copy of PD Pro or even the free version for just the painting part, PD Pro hoever has tons of animation oriented tools, and there's also DoggyFX, which adds animated gif support and much more, like transtions, fades, and some controled by masks, even animated masks.
