I am going to make a short movie pretty soon but I dont know how to edit with PS for movies. Also, would I have to edit each fram individually in order to keep the effects I want?

Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thanks All!!!

Hello Dre..

Well, first congratulations for your comming short movie :) Now there is something i don't get here..

You mentioned PS and you don't know how to edit with >> PS.. Does PS means Photoshop? I can see the thread is opened under photoshop so i assume it is eh!

Now, Photoshop has nothing to do with movies as movies, you might use it to add some effects to your shots, designs.. But it doesn't contain any transitions to edit your video..

Maybe you mean Adobe Premier? You will be needing a movie studio software to make almost anything you want.. And i don't know if you have some external mixers or no.. So it will be helpfull if you can give more details..

Thank you and regards

JOE

Depending on what format the movie is in, you can open it in Image Ready into separate frames and edit but a video editor would be better to use.

You can edit frames in PS, but you`ll have to use After effects or Final cut pro, Premiere to blend it all together in the movie :)

in the old days you could convert your movie into a "filmstrip" (.FLM) and open that in PS to do stuff like "rotoscoping" but you had to be careful not to change the "image size" or the "canvas size" or you couldn't save it back as a flimstrip anymore.

now you can do what dreamer101 say's and do it in ImageReady without having to make it into a flimstrip format first.

dre, your question brings back memories... maybe i'll dig up some old movs and play in PS a bit!!

hope you've found your answer,
retrocity
