Subject: Seven Tabs for Poser 7

xen ( ) posted Thu, 02 November 2006 at 4:50 PM · edited Thu, 19 September 2024 at 6:59 AM

Did you notice that P6 has 7 tabs at the top. With a bit of imagination some line up with the reasons to get P7 so far.

Content: (reason #1 new content)
Face: (reason #2 lip sync)
Pose: (reason #3 undo)
Material: (reason #4 better renderer)

Still to come:
Setup
Cloth
Hair

Setup has got to be the rigging improvements that everyone has been clamouring for.
Cloth must be the answer to Daz Optiwhatsit.

I think I am onto something here. In the preview pictures they were very careful to cut off any clothes and strandbased hair in rendered state, although some figures had strand hair in preview mode.

Hmm. They will keep the killer feature until last. Which one will it be?

this is obviously frontier's lame attempt at ripping off the epic film, "the magnificent seven". :tt2:

for a program that invented the conforming clothing concept, it sure does have lots of non-conforming clients

Which epic film was actually derived from The Seven Samarai!

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

New content shouldn't be at number 1 IMVHO. I pre-orderered P6 and got the "winter queen", later people got Miki, a much better deal!!

Injustice will be avenged.

You are all being very silly, but now that tom271 has topped himself maybe we can get back to the subject.
If the 3D world rumour about the new morphing tool is in fact another reason, then one of the tabs doesn't get a reason. Which one will it be?
Of course there could also be extra animation features in line, in which case only one of setup, cloth and hair will be the extra reason?

I think paklet is onto something. There is a secret 8th!

Vue 6i apparently has support options for Poser 7 import.

There's a screen shot in the vue forum here and it has been mentioned in the vue forums on e-on's site.   Can't confirm myself until my download works.
