Subject: Upload vendor list

gchuck ( ) posted Sat, 04 November 2006 at 6:37 AM · edited Mon, 05 August 2024 at 6:38 AM

I've finally gotten the nerve to upload some images, and not had any real problems...however, giving credit to the vendors for the products I use appears to be an exercise in frustration. There does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the list. Is there a particular reason why the vendor list on the upload page is not in alphabetacal order? gchuck

It is in alphabetical order for me, first ones on the list are the ones that start with numeral, then it a, b, c etc and the last ones on the list are the ones that start with other characters like  "_"  not sure why you don't see them this way...

When last I looked at that list, it was lower case alphabet before upper case. Instead of a blending of the 2 cases.

I just looked at it and it's a blending of the two cases...

gchuck, are you using Opera?
There is a problem in one iteration of Opera I'm afraid. However - click in the search box (above the picklist) and type in the first three letters of the person you're looking for, and it will bring up possible matches. This can save a lot of time. I actually use this function myself rather than going through the list, even though it's alphabetical for me :-)

Karen, I am using Opera, and I tried to type in the name of the vendor...at least I think I did. Now that you've brought it up, you got me thinking that my issue might be a quirk of my browser. Next ul, I'll give your idea a more concientious try, and see what happens.
